BOOK JACKET REDESIGN SERIES

Tasked with the redesign of three book covers with
typography as the focus, I chose to work with the writing of Anthony Bourdain. An iconic figure in food writing and TV, I felt that a lot of his book covers didn’t reflect his charismatic, yet rugged personality.
I took inspiration from the punk zine movement and Dadaism to recreate the covers for three of his best known books: Kitchen Confidential, The Nasty Bits, and Medium Raw. Typographically focused and featuring his own illustrations, the covers better reflect the man behind the words.
