GLOBAL CENTRE FOR CLIMATE ACTION

The Global Centre for Climate Action (GCCA) is an interdisciplinary, creative and practice-oriented research centre focused on climate justice. An umbrella brand of OCAD University, the GCCA wanted a visual identity that fit within the OCAD sub-brand family, but still contribute to shaping public imagination on climate action through art and design research and creative practice.
The visual identity design of the GCCA aimed to encapsulate their bold, design-forward, contemporary and activating mission, to capture the attention of artists, designers, scholars and students around the world. Climate centric colours like green and blue were used with bold, contemporary design touches. The simple brand mark and logo features the four letters of GCCA in movement, capturing the action-focused initiative of the centre while communicating the brand clearly.
